About the Artist
Margs is an active member
of the PPA
(Professional Photographers of America).
She has taken
courses through PPA in wedding photography, portraiture, Adobe Photoshop
and more.
Margs has studied and worked with photographers from around the
country. For three years, Margs worked with a Master Photographer,
Joy Batchelor King, in Raleigh, North Carolina, photographing weddings,
families and children. She has also studied with the well known
wedding photographer Clay Blackmore, from Washington D.C.
Margs received her B.S. degree in Marine Biology with a Minor in Art from
Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. Prior to that she had four
years of photography classes at Maine West High School in Des Plaines,
IL.
Margs has also studied with Kent Bowser, a professional landscape
photographer in Santa Fe, NM and assistant taught Black and White
Photography at The Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu, NM in January 1997 and 2005.
Margs' landscape photography has been displayed in multiple galleries in
Mount Desert Island, Maine.
