Help Create a Good Portrait

I enjoy creating portraits that capture a child’s personality and also maintain a natural feeling.  All Seegers Images portraits are photographed on location.  You may choose a scenic place outdoors or the comfort of your own home.

I can also mount your prints, cut custom mats, and produce beautiful handmade wood frames. These prices vary due to size, quantity and material, so please feel free to call or email me with any questions. Art Leather photo albums are also available if you are looking for a nice place to add to your collection of portraits each year.

Black and White Portraits

To ensure a full range of tones, I use black and white film and handprint on fiber base, archival, black and white photographic papers (the increasingly popular old-fashioned way). Since I custom print each order there are many unique options available so feel free to inquire.

Color Portraits

All color portraits are produced with professional color film and papers to ensure the most natural colors appear. All portraits are professionally retouched to reduce or remove unwanted blemishes or darkness under the eyes.

A Few Things To Do
To Help Create A Good Portrait

  1. 1.  Plan your clothing ahead of time. Chose something simple, lots of patterns or designs can be distracting and they can also date your photograph. Certain looks never go out of style.  Solid color clothing works well.
    2.  Bring an extra outfit if you would like several different looks.
    3.  Think of a local outdoor location that you enjoy. If there are two places close by, we can go to both.
    4.  Show me examples of portraits that you like. These can be from magazines or friends photos, etc.

    5.  Call (541) 210-7322 for an appointment.
